 Butia Capitata- Jelly Palm

The butia capitata from South America, commonly known as the Jelly Palm, is one of the hardiest feather palms we can grow in our unforgiving climate.

They are very slow growing but in time will develop into a stunning architectural tree.

Butias are best grown in full sun and regularly fed and watered through the growing season. They are extremely wind resistant and will withstand temperatures down to -10c, which makes them hardy in all but the coldest parts of the country. They are best planted with broadleaf evergreen.
