Howea Forsteriana - Kentia Palm Superb plants from Lord Howe Island, perfect for indoors and seen in many restaurants and hotels. Popular since Victorian times, the Kentia palm survives low light, dust, central heating, drought and general neglect. Tall, arching and quintessentially elegant, it prefers a rich loamy soil (John Innes No.3) and lots of water in growing season, although it is also resistant to neglect. No direct sunlight, and feed from time to time. Slow growing, and the perfect palm for a low-lit spot in the home.

| * Please note that sizes stated are very approximate and the heights of the plants sent may differ from those in the catalogue. While we try to be honest in describing the size of plants, they are, after all, living things and two plants in the same batch, ostensibly the same 'size' may be very different from each other. Additionally, photographs of palms in the catalogue are often of mature trees and obviously young plants are likely to have a rather different appearance, taking many years, for example, to form a trunk. |
