| This
project is designed around a fabulous contemporary extension taking
advantage of the huge expanses of glass to open the house to the
garden has been featured in many publications.
The
large lawn is bordered by exotic beds planted with palms, bamboos,
ferns and other flamboyant foliage. Even though the planting is
new, the extensive use of mature trees and shrubs like the groves
of 6 metre phyllostachys vivax bamboos imported from Italy or the
4 metre trachycarpus fortunei palms imported from Spain, gives an
impression that the garden has been there forever.
Hard
landscaping includes a decking path running the length of the garden,
a jacuzzi surrounded with jungle foliage and a polished stone patio
with an unusual water feature.
Whilst
geared to entertaining on a grand scale, the family has young children
and the garden offers no shortage of recreational space.
