| This
small garden in West London had a planting area measuring a mere 5
metres by 3 metres. My client, a busy executive, wanted her own personal
retreat where she could escape the stresses and strains of her demanding
career.
The focal point
is a statue set into a curved mirror which reflects the dense planting
of palms, bamboos and a host of other exotic shrubs either side.
The effect of the finished garden is one of complete tranquillity
and it is very hard to believe that this is central London.
Low maintenance
was another priority and this was insured by installing a computerised
micro watering system.
The relatively
small cost in commissioning this garden has been more than compensated
by the added value to the property, but even more importantly by
the pleasure derived from it.
